dist/dans is a mobile app that generates interactive music based on your proximity to other people. It turns your phone’s notification sounds into a musical instrument.
Testing iBeacon app with phones: The app broadcasts and monitors its distance from other nearby phones based on signal strength. This approximation of distance is used to shape the sound, along with other mobile sensors like the gyroscope.
